I like spending my birthday by myself so have been on a few trips to Edinburgh. I'm quite happy wandering round the National Museum for a few hours. The castle is incredible but it's £18 to get in. It seems like a lot but you can spend the day there.
It's my preference really. I enjoy other people's parties but not my own.
