Sounds like bollocks, but sticking your finger up the aggressive dogs arsehole makes them unclamp their jaws and distracts them from continuing the attack. Also if a dog has bitten your dog and has clamped on not letting go, grab their two back legs like a wheelbarrow and start walking the dog backwards. Dogs find it very difficult to balance just on their front paws, so they are more likely to let go so they can balance.

If a dog is intent on attacking, kicking it isn’t going to do much. Nor is hurting its eyes, as dogs work on instinct and can put up with a lot of pain if they are in the zone.
