Honestly, the vast majority of people won't care in any way whatsoever (positive or negative), if they even register the fact that you're English. There are arseholes around who might make a problem out if it but they're few and fat between. Of all the English people in Glasgow that I know well, none have ever had any bother worse than some friendly sports-related rib prodding. |
