| Comment | I offer to buy a sandwich or a cuppa if I can afford it, especially when it is winter. If I feel they are genuine and I have change on me I will sometimes give change, but usually don't have much coinage on me and wouldn't give more than a quid due to my own financial circumstances. I give to homeless and poverty related charities and volunteer with them where I can every now and again. I appreciate not all beggars are homeless or housed but in need and I personally just use my judgement as best as I can. No perfect answers for an imperfect world and all that. |
