| Comment | What I do is just tell interested buyers my general location and ask them to message me for the full address, say, 30 minutes before the pre-arranged appointment time. Means you probably won’t have to wait in for no shows. Ignore them if they contact you at a different time.
Also, I think it’s worth giving your items a nominal value, even if it’s just £5. You somehow get a different attitude versus those people looking for free stuff. When they arrive you can always just give it away for free anyway.
I think, mentally, people naturally put more value on items that have a perceived cost and will treat the arrangement differently as to when it’s free. But maybe that’s nonsense |
