| Comment | Welcome. It'll depend on what kind of place you'll be in, where it is, what floor it's on etc. The suburbs can be a bit colder and frosty. Tenement flats that aren't ground floor and have decent windows will be OK. Invest in a few extra blankets and warm dressing gowns/pyjamas. Warm ones needn't be expensive (ones in Primark are pretty cheap and warm.) Check how your water is heated and how the heaters work as they can possibly be altered to save electricity. There's advice and some support out there from charities and the Scottish Government if things are bad and you're struggling. Unfortunately things are a bit shite here these days, but it's still a great place. Also, another vote for getting a cat or two if you can. |
