i mean it's 6 and half a dozen. amber is pretty much half way between orange and yellow on the colour specturum so if you see people call it orange then why not yellow? plus different people see shades differently.
plus if you look at the sign warning of traffic lights ahead..... the middle light does look closer to yellow imho.
