It’s changing a lot. The Southside used to be more working class but over the last few years a wave of gentrification has been going on.

Flats were/are going for so far above the home report price that only people who have a decent amount of money in the bank (or their parents banks) can afford to buy. Locals are being priced out. I think it’s where some of the misplaced anger at English accents comes from.

It’s bittersweet for someone like me who’s always lived in the Southside. Great to see some of the new places that have opened up but it’s also losing something.
