Glasgow is definitely too big for there to be a solid cultural distinction between each side of the river alone.
Dumbarton Road for example is on the North side and most people who live or work around there are really unpretentious, salt-of-the-earth folks of all ages - but elsewhere on the same side, 10 minutes' walk away on Byres Rd/Great Western Rd/Glasgow Uni area is a different story, where I've heard snippets of conversation including "yah I'm not really a fan of brioche" which says enough I think
