First treat mould with mild and mildew spray - you can decant into a tub and paint this on with a paint brush. If you are going away for a weekend over Christmas - it could be a great time to do this.
Next get some airflow - open windows in flat and bathroom so air is circulating through one window to the others. Not ideal in this weather.
The real solution is to get a plumber and electrician to fit an extractor fan. This will require a core being drilled (around £150) and a electric fitting a fan and might be able to run a spur from ceiling light (meaning both come on at same time).
We done this when re doing the whole bathroom and no just leave fan on for 20 mins after a shower to ensure it’s properly dry. |
