Unless your kids are very very seasoned climbers I wouldn’t be going near Ben nevis at this time of year.
Go to Loch Lomond area for hills.
Edinburgh and glasgow Xmas options fairly limited to be honest- lots of things require booking in advance (visiting Santa etc). There’s the Xmas markets (which I don’t actually recommend) but there’s plenty of sight seeing.
Get somewhere booked for Xmas dinner asap.
Most places are closed on the 26th also.
Same applies for first Jan. Lots of businesses take it as a holiday including tourist attractions |
