Welcome to the new Britain. We’ve been getting poorer and poorer since the financial crisis and eventually it’ll show in living standards for everyone. This country has been in (poorly) managed decline since 2008 and I don’t see it get better anytime soon. Given your age you may want to consider emigrating.
