I sympathise with the frustrations but 400 left over on 22k is loaded in the current climate. For context I work 50 hours for 24.5 and I have at best 50 left over a month.

Wager are low. We know this. UK in general has very low wages. It seems like people are finally starting to realise this.

This is the new normal. No landlord is gonna reduce their rent when things calm down. We have been goose stepping towards a US-like rental climate for years now and we are seeing an escalation currently where it is unaffordable to live alone and room mates are the norm, because rents are going to have basically doubled over a short period of time relatively speaking. I had a pal who rented with her man for 850. Their old place is listed for 1800 atm, shit you not. I chose to live in Paisley because its cheap and you could get a 1 bed for 300. 450 now easy, and rising.

Thigs are fucked and you're not being singled out for a battering. You're far better off than most other 'median wage' folks.
