For me the problem isn't the severity of the weather, but the endless nature of it. You were here for 4 days and it would be new to you. Now imagine living for the whole year, with wet weather possible at any time.
The amazing thing about going overseas for me is how they can depend on the weather. You want to go for a picnic next wednesday? Cool, you know the weather will be decent.
Here it is just as likely to rain in August as any other time. That's what gets me down about it. There's rarely a period of prolonged dry, mild weather. |
