You will become used to it but people genuinely get depressed here because of the weather, not just how they perceive if but the biochemical changes that happen in your body because of the constant cold/dark/wet/lack of sunlight. You NEED all that stuff for your internal biological processes so it’s not really all down to your personal weather preference.

After 4 days, you’ll have a taste for the normal weather here but it eventually wears you down and can’t really be fully experienced in such a short timeframe. When you move, make sure to take lots of vitamin supplements and try to work around daylight hours if possible so you can try and get out for a lunch time walk/vitamin D re-stock before the sun goes back down.

In summer, daylight exposure is much, much better but you’re not guaranteed any ‘good’ weather, it still rains a lot in summer. There’s also a pretty horrid humidity in summer, it’s more clammy and exhausting than balmy if that’s makes sense. However, summer is much more manageable than winter. Good luck!
