Despite living a good mile or so away the Clyde, my mum used to always say any boats on the Clyde at new year ring the horns at 00:00 at the bells - she was raised in Govan so did insist it used to happen when she was a kid

So after the well wishes etc; she'd always go to the back door and open it and listen out, just in case she heard one, every year like a wee tradition

She Passed in February this year so I'll be carrying that on when I go to back to my dad's for Hogmanay haha


That and saying "Its the worst one yet" to only an excuse feel like clockwork but think that's everyone in Scotland's tradition now
