People constantly are eager for some revolution or radical changes that will come and solve everything for them, No one wants to accept that progress comes from consistency and relatively menial and often unimportant work.
Currently Glasgow is in heavy decline primarily due to social neglect and alcohol/substance abuse, both are costing the taxpayer and businesses in their revenue stream mainly because no one wants to visit a cafe covered in junkies, litter and vomit. There are still high rates of unemployment in families with 25% of Glasgow households without any income. A third of Glasgow households also have one parent roughly, something that is damaging to children and almost entirely due neglect on the part of parents to behave like adults than impulsive children.
It is a problem almost entirely within our control collectively, we simply won't sort it though. Possibly the best thing for most people in Glasgow is to get a job they find alright and a family they are willing to take care of and dial back on the drink and fast food in the meantime. |
