Their website (which I should probably have investigated before I posted tbh) says "The operation generates over £5.5m for the U.K. economy in jobs and vital tourist expenditure.".
Obviously that figure could be made up of all sorts of things (the sandwiches the crew buy from the local shop for lunch for example).
I don't know why I care about this really - probably I'll stick a couple of quid in a collection box or whatever. |
