I used to stay on one of the streets off Duke Street. Top and 2nd floor flats were originally two flats with their front doors facing each other across the close landing. They had been knocked in to one, 3 bed flat. All they did was join up the hall from each flat and close over one of the front doors. Reidvale Housing I think it was.
