Agree with all your points on the Americanised suburban planning and property prices. It’s hard to beat Glasgow in terms of value for money. Internet was quite slow as well.
Tho on jobs and purchasing power front, the Aussie pay is higher than I expected - 50% higher in Melbourne for what I do specifically. Perhaps the exchange rate since Brexit and inflation in the UK has played a part in that. What is the typical amount of annual leave you d get from a white collar job do you know? |
