But to address your point, the ticket he’d have given away could be transferred because he hadn’t started that journey. What if he changed his plans and wanted to come back to Glasgow by train? His opportunity to do so was ruined by an over zealous jobsworth, who would not be fucking fired for selling someone the ticket they asked for. Do you have any idea how much protection in law workers have? I’m quite sure he’d have been a member of the RMT too, who’d have scotrail in a tribunal in a heartbeat if they’d tried anything like that. Seriously, no one was going to get fired for that.
