Golden era of ordering a takeaway is definitely over.
When I was a student id genuinely order a kebab and a can of juice for a fiver and it would come with free delivery within 20 minutes. And apparently the economics of it worked because that place done it for years.
But aye places are struggling big time just now and delivery now costs a few quid (which makes sense obviously but once you've had a free taste it's hard to go back) and everyones got less disposable income for takeaways so I imagine there'll be a lot of closures. |
