| Comment | Yeah, I think I'll need to revaluate my decision in the New Year, but it was primarily driven by cost at the minute as going in three times a week means I need to buy a monthly pass to get the best value and the bus is something like £50 and the train was closer to £80, I think. Incidentally, the bus journeys in are fine (although cramped single deckers, fucking roasting, no windows open etc),but getting home is a fucking nightmare, numerous buses full and not stopping etc, sporadic in terms of there actually turning up means it's almost double the time door to door getting home.
Incidentally, I've never commuted by train when I've worked in Glasgow, bus has always been the best and sometimes only realistic option, but my station is a 10 min walk from the gaff and I might just need to pay that extra bit of month for that wee bit more space and smoother journey. |
