We like to see these things as "different" when in reality it's societies notion of "normal" that makes ADHD etc seem like a condition in itself. It's only because society is designed in a way that disrespects diversity, and is far removed from our social reality as a species, that'd ADHD means some people find it hard to function in this society. I have ADHD but there's zero reason why I would want to numb my quirks just to make me "normal". Those quirks have helped me in great many other ways.
