Comment | I ended up getting a BUPA diagnosis from a doc at the Priory (yes, that Priory) and an NHS diagnosis the next day.
I had been referred to the NHS by my GP, then I remembered that I had BUPA through work. I figured if I got a positive BUPA diagnosis, I’d cancel my NHS diagnosis, however the BUPA diagnosis was a shambles, taking 5 sessions each spaced a month apart, where the doc was 20 minutes late each time and hadn’t done any prep. By the time he’d finished, I had had my NHS assessment and was waiting the results.
Both came back as a positive diagnosis, so I told the NHS doc about the BUPA diagnosis in order to ask what the best way forwards was. She said it was a good thing I’d got the NHS diagnosis, as otherwise I’d have to pay for meds each month as they wouldn’t accept a diagnosis from the Priory. |
