The London route might be quite busy as it's a business route, especially during that hour (arrives in London early for meetings). I assume since you've got a connecting long haul flight you'll be checking a bag in at Glasgow and that's where most of your time will be taken up. I've been in similar scenario before - fly to London then connect for long haul; turned up 1.5hr early only to be queued out right to the far side towards the international arrivals area. They were quite switched on tho and since there was people checking in to BA for various flights taking off within 30-1 hour from each other, they shuttled all the earliest take-off to the front of the check-in desk to get them up to security
