Genuine question but why didn’t you just call in sick?
Are you working from home? If not you’ve probably just spread it to your coworkers who may now also catch it and definitely will not thank you for the pleasure.
Even if you do work from home, you are entitled to sick leave. Why torture yourself if you don’t have to?
