| Comment | Personal opinion as a foreigner. My favorite spot is West Kilbride. Take the train from Central to West Kilbride and walk through the village down to the beach. Walk 10min on the beach toward North, its even bigger and calmer with nice sand.
You can check portencross Castle (Tower) nearby too.
I love this spot cause its not far from Glasgow, wide sandy beach and super calm, much more than Troon and Irvine as you have to walk a bit from the train station to get there. |
