| Comment | The very last time I went out for new year, few years ago now, we went to the Ashton Lane street party. It was fine at first, managed to get a table in Brel but then suddenly the place was just packed like sardines. Couldn’t move in the lane, couldn’t get anywhere near any of the bars. It was horrendous. Took ages to get a taxi and cost a fortune to get home. I hated every single minute of it after the first hour. I get that these places want to make as much money as possible but if they would just sell slightly less tickets, it would be far more enjoyable. Ever since then, I’ve gladly sat NYE out! |
