It’s 2.30 in the morning but I’ll indulge for a moment. Your solution would be for me to have carried to full term? To allow a life to suffer every day and die at a young age?

What about women who miscarry? Because a D&C procedure is legalised under abortion laws. Without that procedure, women would be forced to carry a dead foetus in their womb, causing sepsis.

Ignore those ones for a moment, what about the women who are raped? Who didn’t have a moment to say to a man “hey I know you’re on a roll right now but do you mind sticking a condom on?”, a little cruel to ask them to carry the genetic material of someone who physically and mentally damaged them, no? What about those victims who are children? Who, although biologically are able to carry children, will suffer great mental health issues from being forced to do so?

What about women who are forced into prostitution? What happens to those kids? The kids of junkies and alcoholics? Dump them in the care system? Great, along with the thousands of others that are already there?

What about the ones who resort to backstreet abortions in fear, after it becomes outlawed? How many women will die because of that? But we both know you don’t care about them so what about the fact that it’s our body, our rights? What about the fact that some women genuinely can’t carry children? Since we’re going into detail, my family member has an odd shaped womb, and had to resort to surrogacy, as her pregnancies all resulted in miscarriages and a great amount of pain.

Then there seems to be this great argument of people using abortions as a method of contraception and of course there’s always one (in this case, it’s you) who chimes in with “oh the women where I live brag about abortions and they’re killing a life”. Literally no one is using it as contraception. It’s an actual medical procedure.

Tell me now if you’re a bible basher, I’ve got plenty more to say about that.
