You'd know if you'd read the relevant plans that nobody is suggesting putting a route on St Vincent Street.
The network both in the city centre and across neighbourhoods is planned for relatively flat, wide roads, of which there are many in Glasgow. It's how cities across the world, many with as many hills as Glasgow, are building their networks.
