Because the Labour one was any better?

AIUI Glasgow suffers from a funding problem as it provides services for workers who live outwith the GCC area, maybe a "Glasgow Metropolitan Area" charge should be levied on surrounding councils?

Not totally sure TBH, and I can't see it being that popular.

This also goes some way to explain the drive for more accomodation in the centre. More permanent residents means more raised in council tax. Also more people around all the time to keep businesses afloat.

The pandemic showed the folly of gutting centres to just be office block wastelands.
