By its very nature, public transport needs to be integrated with active transport, because we can't all have a bus stop, train station or subway station on our doorstep. A large cycle network is key to having a functioning and flexible multimodal transport system, where you can cycle the first and final mile on rougher days and cycle the whole way when you want to.
