Understandably people like to complain about the council, but from a cycling point of view they have actually made big progress over the last few years. I moved back to Glasgow in 2019 and since then there have been lots of new cycle lanes opened up, most notably the south city way connecting queen's park to the city centre. There is still work to be done before it's a proper network, and it's not going to happen without causing severe disruption to traffic routes, but there has been a big improvement over the last few years.


I think the bigger problem at this point is actually getting people to ditch the car and jump on their bikes
