| Comment | The EU were trying to ban them a while ago (2018). Don’t know if this went ahead, but a lot of manufacturers discontinued them in advance of the ban coming in. It’s something to do with the chemical used being banned.
You can still find some for sale on EBay - look for strike anywhere matches.
The only reason I know this is that I was looking for some last year. Bought this fancy match holder for lighting candles, that you can strike the matches on - except safety matches don’t work on it. |
