It's inconvenient because it fucking bisects a major city, making it much harder to go from one side to the other by foot or by vehicle.
"Use a bridge done" is a fucking brain dead take. In many areas there are no bridges. They often don't cross at convenient or even sensible places. At many points it takes as many as four different sets of lights to cross the fucking spaghetti mess that is the M8.
I'd replace it with either a bypass around the city and a much less significant road in its current place, or by cutting it deeper and covering it to create a tunnel. |
