| Comment | No one else made this point and I'm positive it won't be popular. But I don't want more drunks roaming about the city than there already are.
I work in public places in the city in the evenings/night time. And there is nothing that will eviscerate your belief in mankind more than having to deal with vile drunks all night long.
Violent, aggressive, rude, nasty, annoying, disgusting. These are a few of the descriptors that come to mind when I think of the people I have to deal with regularly. The best behaved drunks are still not people I'd chose to deal with if I didn't have to. The worst will literally ruin your day.
Never mind the rubbish they leave strewn everywhere, what about vomit, feces, piss and spit?
I guess this is more of a general rant against excessive drinking culture and the inhabitants who partake. I just dread the thought of more of them out and about for longer than they already are. |
