Tbh in my experience I find that people aren't split by age when it comes to this, plenty of young people not wanting to bother anyone and plenty of older people who want to make their problems everyone else's, and vice versa. I find a lot of it has more to do with upbringing.
This comment gives me the impression that you're of a certain age and would probably be a 'difficult' patient.
