| Comment | I work in psych and the other night we had so little staff across our 3 wards that when we pulled alarms there was not an adequate number of staff across all 3 shifts to respond. Thankfully the 2 incidents that were alarmed that didn't have adequate responses did not require safe holds but see if they did, we would have had to call in support from other areas. It's scary man.
I responded to a ligature last night and after pulling my alarm, only 2 staff were available to respond, one of which was actually on their break. Thankfully it was a loose lig and the patient wasn't resistive but I swear tf see if they were.... |
