Comment	You're talking about McVities Guest cafe, my Mum, who passed away in July used to be the manager there. Worked her way up from being a cleaner when she started to running the place around 1980/81 I used to love going down with my brother's, we were treated like royalty. Anyway, nostalgia aside there's a cafe on Argyle Street next to the old C&A that later became TJ Hughes but is now derelict that has the exact same vibe as your Mum is asking about.
