Plenty of groups on FB and you're more likely to find someone willing to give you a lift.

White loch is great, but in the arse end of nowhere with a crap carpark. Balgray is drained for the foreseeable. Luss, Campsie Fells waterfall and chaterherault are all popular.

Pinkston up at Springburn does open water swimming - if youre not used to going it's a good place to start as there's a lifeguard.
