I definitely see what you're saying. Likewise I went to see Christone Kingfish Ingram (check him out!) this year and it also inspired me to get better at blues and improve my tone as well.
I think it's more like I've been playing by myself / learning from YouTube for too long and I feel like I've exhausted how far I can go on this route. So I'm just looking for a teacher/ other better players to hopefully take me to my next level.
There's also other things like being stuck on the same BPM on technical exercises and always playing the same licks and ideas on backing tracks. |
