| Comment | It's been extremely popular for about 6-7 years now. If I had to guess why I'd say it's probably just glasgow's student population growing and also them gaining a big following on fb/insta so more people know about them and their 80p vodkas etc. Basically a snowball situation.
It was kinda underground back in 2009/10 when they hosted smaller bands and played proper indie/punk tunes but as with everything else they've seen how much money they can make and just started catering to the masses. Joy division and the smiths on repeat all night and venoms available from the bar. Can't blame them really, they must be raking it in.
I'm a bit auld for it now but I honestly think even with them playing loads of mainstream tunes and letting any old cunt in it's still good. It's a glesga institution everycunt should experience at least once. |
