That statement is not correct; Just last fortnight GHA was advertising properties down towards Merchant city and Saltmarket in really inappropriate allocations bands.

I agree. but it is implementation is seriously flawed. People who have repeatedly made themselves homeless due to addiction/anti-social behaviour shouldnt be put to the top of the list to a lovely victorian tenement flat in the city centre or affiliated areas.

There are a lot of housing officers at the GHA who have never been held to account for the bad decisions they have made over housing policy. Those decisions have helped to repeat a vicious cycle where junkies have been given keys to properities that are clearly not suitable for them.

It could be argued that GHA's housing policies of the last 10 years helped to contribute to the decline in the Govanhill area.

There needs to be a serious overhaul of the allocation policy at the GHA. And Martin Armstrong needs to be held to account over his decisions.
