I knew the caravel as the old elpaso. Backed into a graveyard and the talk when I was a wean was it was for pure convenience. My dad also told me a story once about a junkie throwing in a grandae without taking out the pin. But I do remember going from the bar to the bookies at about 4 for my granda. It was defo owned by Tam McGraw and his brother and Law Snaz regardless of who's name was above the door. Definitely recommend the ice cream wars doc on BBC iPlayer right now but I don't agree with the final sentiment. The van was 100% where you got drugs when I was wee.
