Comment | In theory I think it’s a great idea and there should be more of this kind of thing - no singular landlord, secure renting without the risk of being kicked out due to selling, more rights and flexibility including ability to have a pet. It also creates competition for landlords with shitty, poor quality flats with mould on the walls and lack of insulation.
In practice it seems they are are unaffordable, over the top luxury developments. For example Solasta has a gym, dining room and some other bullshit communal areas to justify the ridiculous price. I know someone who viewed one of their flats recently and said the flat was very small for what they were asking. But they may need to rent it out anyway due to having no other choice given the housing crisis. |
