| Comment | The system is fitted with Automatic Train Operation. The signalling equipment controls the stopping positions and speed of the train.
Drivers control the doors and press a “start” button when it is safe to depart the platform, then the train does everything itself until the next platform.
Drivers can take manual control if need be. I’m sure a driver took manual control on Monday with a defective that was moving very slowly around the outer circle, on its way back to the depot. |
