| Comment | So I have the same problem in the house and have had a few folk round to look at it, firstly I was pointed in the direction of [https://www.masticscotland.co.uk/](https://www.masticscotland.co.uk/) who popped round to check the external seals which were all fine, then I got out the window mender in paisley ( 07834 771518) who checked the windows themselves and stated they were fine, but it looks like the internal sealant is blown and they have told me to get a joiner in to reseal the internal seals.
Bit of a faff, but no cost from either of those two for coming out to have a look and neither pushed me into paying for something that wasn't needed which is nice. That being said, finding a decent joiner that will come out to do some sealing work (aware it can be DIYed, but the state I made of the bath when I tried to do that once has led me to not wanting to try on my windows) is really difficult at the moment. Have not had a response from a number I have tried finding online.
So I suppose, if you are handy, or have a joiner pal, you might want to go down the route of resealing the interiors first, see if that solves the problem before calling someone out. |
