1. Buy a new monitor (use via external output)
1. Pop the old one apart, get access to the broken panel, find the panel identification (usually a sticker on the back)
1. Buy new panel (probably eBay, but do research as people sell fake panels
1. Rebuild old monitor
1. Two monitors!
This will probably still be cheaper than paying someone.
