| Comment | You can't just rock up to the council and declare yourself homeless btw, GCC will take a lot of things into consideration before making that decision. If OP is at risk of abuse or the house is not safe etc, then they would declare you homeless but if not, then OP would considered to be intentionally homeless which is different and although they are obliged to give you advice and assistance to help you find suitable accommodation, advice and assistance is about as far is it will extend. |
